Metal sludge refers to surplus materials such as metal powder and rust that are always generated when machines and other equipment are in operation in manufacturing and production processes at production plants and factories. Since metal sludge increases rapidly during the operation of machinery, it must be treated appropriately.
Rust is a problem that needs to be taken care of during workpiece processing at metal processing sites. Rust can occur even on aluminum and stainless steel, which are not normally rust-prone materials, and is caused by the fine sludge produced when rust-prone iron is processed.
Iron fine sludge that stays in the coolant tank mixes with the coolant solution and circulates, adhering to other materials and possibly causing rust and aluminum rust. Therefore, caution is required at sites where multiple materials are processed by a single machine.
Rust can also be caused by coolant that is not properly managed. Coolant that is not properly managed can deteriorate over time, and as corrosion progresses, the increased bacteria can eat away the active ingredients that have rust-preventing properties. When this happens, the rust-preventive performance is reduced and the workpiece becomes more susceptible to rusting.
